Want to find a way to help

Do something for your neighbor

Try giving of your self

If we’re the IT city

In the volunteer state

We better get together before it’s too late

Can’t wait for all that water

To rise up again

Gotta hold our hands together

‘Cross unfamiliar zip codes

And do it more than once

That’s how this story goes

Walk in a new direction

Every time you lend a hand

Create a new connection

In your community

That means every one of us

That means you and me!

This is not a sprint it’s a marathon race

If we tap our human resource

Maybe we can change our fate

No flood on the horizon

But the needs are so great

We can’t sit on our laurels

There’s no time to celebrate

Level up the playing field

Across the great divide

So everybody’s boat

Can rise with the tide.

Redefine our civic pride

Increase participation

And we’ll bake a bigger pie.
